By Sunflower Journeys is celebrating 20 years of telling stories about Kansas.
This morning on Kansas Public Radio, Laura Lorson interviewed Dave Kendall, the person who created and shaped the program. He reports every week on Sunflower Journeys and if you watch the TV show, you’ll recognize Kendall’s voice immediately in the radio segment.
Sunflower Journeys has been a very successful program, highlighting history and events, people and places, and, well, just about every possible aspect of Kansas.
A new season begins tonight on KTWU, Channel 11, public television. In Emporia, Sunflower Journeys airs at 7 p.m. on Thursdays and repeats at 5:30 p.m. on Saturdays.
