Tiller & Toiler

During my junior and senior years in high school, I wrote a column for the Larned Daily Tiller and Toiler called “Mustang Roundup.” (I took over when my brother graduated.)

And I sold photos to the Tiller also, mostly football and basketball photos.

Then after I graduated, I spent the summer as a reporter/photographer for the paper. Loved that job.

My desk was on the other side of this window.

It was 1977 and I used a Royal (I think) typewriter. Not electric, the kind you punch letters and when the ding sounds, you return the carriage. Wheeee!
