Here’s mild-mannered Alex Johnston, taking orders at Amanda’s Bakery & Cafe last Saturday. You can usually find him here or working in the tech department at the school district’s board office. Sometimes he slips into a cape and rescues puppies. Read all about it in The Gazette. See a photo on Prairie Dust.

I just saw a story about it on Topeka’s Channel 49, KTKA. Here’s the video.

The rescued puppies are being taken care of by the Buck Animal Welfare Fund.

P.S. From Alex – Get your pets spayed or neutered! … And donations to the Buck Fund are happily accepted for the care of these and other abandoned and neglected animals.

  1. Awww poor little puppers. I’m so glad he found them. They’ll find good homes for all of them, no doubt. What lucky puppies that such a compassionate person came along just at that moment.

  2. Did the vet have any idea what kind of dog the pups were? They sure look cute being fed by Alex, good job Dude!
