Dave gave me a Flip for my birthday! Which means I can now make videos. This will add a new dimension to the Flyover People site – sound and movement. I’ll try not to be too annoying. Here is my first one – a stream along Beaver Trail near Hot Springs, Ark.
Delta Nature Center
A boy stands on the stone floor map in the Governor Mike Huckabee Delta Rivers Nature Center in Pine Bluff, Ark. Yep, as in Arkansas. Not Kansas. No delta here. Lots of nice boardwalks on the trails. Swampy ponds. A turtle on a log in a duckweed-filled pond. Mom told me what these are, but …
In Hot Springs
Just some things that caught my eye in Hot Springs, Arkansas, over the weekend. I love the look and signage of ’50s motels.
Inside Bobby Hopper

Winding vs. straight
The past several days, we spent a lot of time on windy roads like Highway 7 in Arkansas. Back home again.

In The Nelson
A few shots inside the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, Kansas City, MO. The column(s) you predicted, Roger. 🙂 Guanyin of the Southern Sea
Town-Topic
We’d already enjoyed lunch at the Korma Sutra, so we didn’t stop at the Town-Topic. I’ll bet there are a thousand stories in here, though. Kansas City, MO.
The Madrid
