Hometown boy and NASCAR driver Clint Bowyer came to Emporia today to dedicate and cut the ribbon on a building he paid for – the Bowyer Community Building which is on the Lyon County Fairgrounds.

    The Lyon County Fair will be a big deal this summer as most citizens will have a first look. Thank you, Clint. I do wish we still had at least two Quonset hits still on the tract, though. We have torn down too much architectural history in this town.
