On a Saturday road trip, Dave and I took a detour into Effingham. This is the hometown of our good friend, Roger Heineken and so we wanted to pay the town a visit. It’s a nice little place, friendly. We spoke to several people there and they remembered Roger and the Heineken family.

Unfortunately, I forgot my real camera at home and so all I had with me was my cell phone camera. In the sun, I couldn’t see the screen and apparently somewhere during these shots I hit the wrong place on the screen and started taking short videos instead of individual shots. So I don’t have as many photos of downtown Effingham as I would like.
