Some photos from our Indoor Winter Farmers’ Market, Feb. 4.
Greens in February. There were even shades of orange: carrots. But I was a few minutes too late for them. There weren’t many and they went fast.
Mark Sherman, showing off his cat-themed purses made of recycled materials.
Flannel leopard lining.
The always-colorful Steve Graham.
Tom Haskett, a frequent market shopper. Sometimes I walk with Tom at the rec center.
All the pretty greens – and I did buy some kale – but I was drawn to the beautiful cookies made by Linda Simmons.
If you missed your chance at Valentine’s cookies, it may not be too late. Call or e-mail Linda.
The Indoor Winter Market is held 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month, through April, at the former Lowther South School, 215 W. 6th, Emporia, Kansas.
I have a bunch of different sizes of dog food bags I have been wanting to do this with. I first saw this idea in a chicken magazine.
chicken feed purses are next, but I am not sure that the feather lining will work out so well.
