I drove to Wichita and back this evening. (A friend had a book-signing, but more on that in a different post.)
It takes about an hour to get to Wichita via the Kansas Turnpike, and for about 40 minutes of that trip, I got to watch a long and glorious sunset.
This, my friends, is one of the perks of living in Kansas.
Sunsets don’t usually linger as long as this one did – it just kept changing. And with some of the colors I couldn’t tell if they were orange or pink – two colors that normally clash and yet they were so close in shade, I couldn’t tell where the orange ended and the pink began.
Glorious.
That is indeed one of the perks of living in Kansas. Should we be telling people this? We don’t want *too* many of them moving here. 🙂
Only Kansas & Parts Of california Have I Seen Sunsets That Amaze You And You Never Want Them To End. So enjoyed Seeing Your Pics. Thanks Ever So Much.
Beautiful pics, Cheryl, of an absolutely stunning sunset. As I watched from my living room window last night, i dawned on me how blessed I am to live in Kansas.
Nothing like a Kansas Sunset!
Are there more things for you Kansans to brag about?
Beautiful!!
