Wood Fashion Cafe – in the Wood Fashion Plaza, 157 N. 7th, Salina.
On the way back from Boulder last month, Dave and I stopped at the Wood Fashion Cafe in Salina for lunch.
It’s an artsy place serving local foods.
Tin ceiling.
Hey, where’s Ally’s Prairie Mustard? I figured she’d be on the list.
My salad with barley was good.
Dave had the spinach-noodle stir fry. It included butternut squash and okra.
Having just come from the foodie town of Boulder where I ate a lot of yummy goat cheese and had salmon twice, I ordered the wild-caught salmon sandwich with chevre and Wiebe Dairy cheddar and spinach. This was okay, but I wish the bread had been toasted a more thoroughly to add some texture to the sandwich.
But it was a nice place and I’d like to go again. I definitely want to support places like this that use local, quality ingredients.
The food looks incredible and I am in love with that ceiling!
The ceiling is gorgeous. And there’s something about the green walls and shiny metal crown molding with that old ceiling, just wonderful.
You just made Lori very, very jealous and very, very hungry.
