On Aug. 6, Dave and I attended Threshing Days in Goessel. I did a reading, Dave checked out the farm equipment in action. And, for lunch, we took them up on the Low German meal.

Cheryl,
I hate to show my ignorance, but what is “Low German food”?
Weeta – I don’t have a link to that column, but it’s just food that was eaten by a specific region of Germans. If you have my book, it’s described in “At the Breadbasket” on page 43.

Ah-ha! Got it. Thanks!
If I may ask, what is Cherrie moos?
Stand by, I’ll post a photo. It’s like a cherry pudding or something. There’s also a plum moos.
Ah-h-h-h-h, bierocks, which I am told are similar in content to Nebraska runzas
