This morning at the Emporia Farmers Market – Bill Ihling and Jane McCoy sing “Strawberry Wine.” I should’ve taken my flip video recorder so y’all could hear how great they sounded.
The market was a crowded, busy place. Lots of vendors, lots of veggies and fruit, lots of customers. I brought home cantaloupe, watermelon, fresh farm eggs and tomatoes.
Steve Graham, as always, wore one of his colorful shirts.
Just love this time of year with fresh veggies and fruit. We’ve been feasting on some cantelope and watermelon this weekend that is so perfect and juicy.
And just got back from a walk this morning, it was amazing: a break in the humidity. I plan on staying outside as long as possible today until the heat builds back up.
This weekend we have had rain with an average daily temperature of about 14 degrees celcius.
