Bake sale for Reading, tornado relief

May 28th, 2011 at 10:41 am

Studio 11, at 11 E. 4th in Emporia, is hosting a bake sale today to help out Reading residents. Reading was hit by an EF-3 tornado on May 21. Nearly every house in Reading suffered damaged. Quite a few were totally destroyed.

The bake sale was planned by the kids of Studio 11.

Money raised will be turned over to the United Way Reading Tornado relief fund.

There are sweet things to eat and sweet things to drink. Lemonade, I think.

An Atomic Bakery cupcake shortly before it was eaten. And yes, it was good.

Victoria Partridge is the Atomic Baker of Atomic Bakery.

If you live in the Emporia area, stop by and give your support for the Reading Tornado Relief Fund.

Great to see folks helping out. The cupcake did look delicious. Sounds like a road trip to the Atomic Bakery is in order. And then stop by Studio 11 too. Looks like some creative folks there. Hope they made bunches for the Reading folks.
