old old 50

As you can see, my mom has gotten me out of the house this week! We’ve been northeast and west, we’ve traveled a bit to the southeast. Today we’re headed south.

It’s been good to get out, but traveling and exploring is not particularly easy, operating with crutches – and I’m all for ADA restrooms in places now – grab bars are nice when you can only put weight on one foot.

The foot swells from all the running around, and I’m tired, but it’s been fun to hang with mom and get out on the Kansas roads again.

  1. Good for you (and good for your mother for getting you out!)! Your discomfort is only temporary, you know, and I’m glad it’s not keeping you from experiencing a beautiful early Kansas fall. I look forward to your adventures!

    Dave’s sunflower set was great!

  2. I’m glad you can get out and about and enjoy the road. The sky looks beautiful. Adventurous and mystical, I wonder what’s just over the top of that hill. We like to take drives and used to stop at flea markets and antique places in small towns and out in the country. Lots of fun to poke around in the stuff. Do you ever do that? – though I realize right now with a bum foot it’s no good.
