I managed to drop by the local farmer’s market yesterday, picked up some meat and vegetables. These flowers were awfully pretty.

Jim sells tomatoes to Tracy. (Doesn’t she have the prettiest smile?) No Rand. I think he was still working. Or something.

  1. I did it again….lifted your pictures from the market. Those flowers are so beautiful….I wish someone here would be encouraged by seeing them to set up a stand of flowers at our market.

We once had several vendors with great assortments of things to buy, but one has moved, another now has a restaurant that keeps her busy full time, and another just got too old to continue with a large garden. Fortunately for us, Caleb is carrying on regardless. He’s the hardest working young man you’ll find in these parts.

If you want me to change anything on it, let me know.

I think markets like this mean a lot more to me than most people. Every time Brit and I have gone on a trip, I always hit the local veggie/meat/fruit market where locals do all their shopping before I do anything else. I love them all…some in Europe are like going to an art museum…they are so beautiful. Others where fly-infested meat is hanging all over the place, and women are cleaning eels take a strong stomach.
