the view from my porch

Haven’t done a “view from the porch” shot for a long time, so here it is. It’s what autumn, Day 6 looked like in Emporia, Kansas.
Meanwhile, I need to swap out the spring wreath for the autumn wreath on the porch. Never did get around to putting out the summer wreath.
I noticed that the neighbors still have fake poinsettias out on their porch. There but for the grace of God go I.

Your neighbors have poinsettias on the porch and the William Allen White House has Politics on the Porch this Sunday at 2 pm.
Every Christmas, Ben Franklin’s 27 children would get together, form a circle holding hands singing carols. It was a family tradition they called “A Wreath of Franklins.”
I decorated my porches for FALL-this past week end——–I hope I’m well enough to put them away & put out Christmas decorations when the time comes to do so!!!!!!!
But your neighbors are already now aren’t they???????
I’d just like to get the junk off my porch!
