Stop the Calendar
Yes, boys and girls, it’s time once again for my annual plea: Stop the Calendar, I Want to Get Off.
Except for a few tornadic days now and then, May is the best weather month in Kansas.
This is that brief moment in time when I can throw open the front door and let the outside air come in through the screen door. No furnace! No air conditioner! (I’m doing the yippee dance, if you can’t tell.)
The days are still getting longer. Light is everywhere. There’s not much humidity. The temperature is usually in the 70s or 80s, perfect.
Happy, happy, happy days.

This has been a particularly beautiful Spring. I don’t remember seeing a better one in the years I’ve been here.
I’m with you Cheryl and Janet, this has been an amazing Spring and I have truly enjoyed sleeping with the windows open and sitting on the front porch in the swing, napping under the tree out back. Few insect still(except ants) and plenty of birds to sing you a lullaby. Not too hot to garden and not to cold to plant flowers. Yea Spring has arrived Cheryl, I told you it would!
