What’s wrong with this picture?
It’s Sept. 29, that’s what.
And that’s the summer banner.
The City of Emporia has always, with remarkable punctuality, changed the banners on the date of the equinox or solstice. Maybe the budget crisis has the street department tending to more important things than banner changing.
But I don’t mind hanging onto summer.
