On the Horizon

“On the Horizon,” the radio version.
Happy Kansas Day!
And, if you’re into the written word, here’s the original text of the column, which is a bit longer than the radio piece.

Good one, Cheryl.
Oh My Goodness! I just heard it on KPR. That was Terrific! It made me proud that I live in Kansas. But more than that, I am proud of you, Cheryl and I am so proud that I know you. Thanks for sharing your talent.
Jay did a great job of introducting your commentary too. And . . . . the guitar music was neat at the end. I thought they should have used “Home On The Range”, but that might have taken away from the commentary.
Anyway . . . . what a delightful commentary!!!!!
Bravo! Well written and well spoken. Ya done good!
Another great commentary, Cheryl! Happy Kansas Day!
Onnalee - here’s J.’s comment about the music he selected (which I liked, too, very much.) …
**Thought about using HOME ON THE RANGE but… we’ve used it before for a KS DAY piece from you, AND… I was already using an instrumental version of the song at the front end of my own KS DAY piece today, so I didn’t want to overdo it.
The music he used is very good and actually, it is more soothing after a commentary such as yours. I’m glad he chose that. So serene and calm!
Thanks, everyone, for listening and for the kind comments.
They should have had you do the State of the State address!
Welcome, Kris - especially since you say nice things and make me laugh.
I finally got to listen to you tonight. I got goose bumps. You tell it so well and I can see that horizon just as you tell it. Thanks Cheryl!
Why thank you, Q.!
