K-10

K-10 Highway.
If you’re going to Lawrence via the Kansas Turnpike, be advised that the west Lawrence exit is closed. You must take either the Lecompton/K-10 exit or the east Lawrence exit.
And - there are no signs along the road to tell you this in advance. I had a vague remembrance of it so I was prepared. The only hint they give you is a sign around Topeka that says something like “If these lights are flashing, turn to 1600 AM on your dial for roadway information.”

Well, flashing lights and a dedicated radio broadcast are more than what our pioneer ancestors had when they crossed Kansas. Just kidding but its true.
Yeah, well, I’m just saying that if the danged interchange is going to be down for about a year, they could put up a sign that can be read - instead of listened to.
But, yup, it’s better than um, nothing.
Is K-10 a dog with an extra chromosome?
You got it, Roger, a K-10 is a SUPER dog….!
