Easter Heathman dies
Easter Heathman was 13 when Knute Rockne’s plane crashed in the Flint Hills. He, his dad and brothers rushed to the scene of the accident. For decades, Easter Heathman led people to the crash site.
Heathman died Wednesday at Newman Hospital. He was 90.

Easter was a dear family friend for as long as I can remember & he was my “turnip man”-/ when my Dad died– Easter would bring me turnips no matter where I lived!
He was a great gardener & had a terrific sense of humor!
He will be missed by the whole Bazaar & Chase County area!
