    Wow, that map is something else! If I go by that town, I want to stop and see that in person. I just have to look up where that town is.

    That map is the courthouse’s saving grace. Without it, it would be just another public building built during an era of mostly bad architecture. The map makes it pretty darn cool though.

    That map is such a great idea! Imagine trying to get something that unusual through planning committees now. “You do realise that there’s no vernacular tradition of adding maps to buildings, don’t you? I’m afraid we’ll have to turn down that weird concept!”
