Lyon and surrounding counties are in a tornado watch until 2 a.m.
Jump up north a couple of counties and they’re expecting 2-5 inches of blowing snow overnight.

Despite the threat of tornadoes yesterday and snow today, Emporia received neither.
This week’s forecast temperatures are in the 50s. We may get another snowfall this season, although I think the heaviness and bitter cold of winter is over. Hallelujah!
