The symphony has left the stage. The crowd is leaving. Crews are packing up the chairs and stands. Going away music is provided by Charlie Laughridge on harmonica. Charlie is part of the Tallgrass Express String Band that you’ve seen so often on this blog recently.

Various entities had merchandise for sale in a tent at last Saturday’s Symphony in the Flint Hills. Hats and t-shirts… Regional books. That “Roadside Kansas” book is great. Dave Kendall, Master of Ceremonies, discusses last minute details with volunteer Abby Amick of Alma. The sound tent. The sound system was incredible. The saddle span concert shell with speakers held up by forklifts. The reserved seating area.
