Symphony Store

Various entities had merchandise for sale in a tent at last Saturday’s Symphony in the Flint Hills. Hats and t-shirts…

Regional books.

That “Roadside Kansas” book is great. It follows a number of highways, giving the geological information by mileposts. So you can look out the windshield and refer to the book and know what you’re looking at. One of its authors is Rex Buchanan with the Kansas Geological Survey. At the Symphony, Rex gave a talk on Ponds, Springs, Rivers and Ranching.

And here is a cool thing - 21 Sunflower Journeys stories about the Flint Hills compiled for your enjoyment.

The 2-DVD set is available for purchase online through the KTWU store. The DVD set is $30 plus tax and shipping.

I have an edition of Roadside Kansas I’ve had for years. I think I should get a new one and take off with it!
