I just found a tiny little "volunteer" redbud tree that somehow escaped the attentions of any yard work destruction last year. It's about thigh-high to me, and it's blooming! What life.

Beautiful show, Cheryl. As the tree grows, in theory, more bloom each year.

It really is gorgeous this year. Seems like the reward of a particularly hard winter is an especially beautiful Spring.

We did a drive last weekend in the hills going from Hartford-Olpe-Cassoday and back. The Redbuds were in full bloom and gorgeous. Every grove and clump of trees had at least a couple. It's the same on the east side of the state as well and almost makes that winter worth while.
