Oasis on the Plains

When traveling I-70 westbound, you’ll see signs for all kinds of far-off places. Near Salina is this sign plugging Colby, the Oasis on the Plains. (The fine print reads: Three hours ahead.)
I haven’t been to Colby for some time, but reportedly there are metal palm trees as well as the cool grain-bin welcome center (as shown on that link above.)
I was through there last spring. Their visitor center is very nice, and there’s a wonderful Asian Buffet restaurant they recommended, which was excellent.
Colby is very near where High Plains Camping is also.
