–and people eat them? I just remember “Chestnuts roasting by an Open Fire” & thought they didn’t grow around here…

I didn’t look at the pods that closely, but yeah, each individual nut is about the size of an acorn – the big acorns. These folks have an orchard of chestnut trees.

how many chestnuts come in a pod? i see three in one and two in the other. or dose the size of the tree make a diffrence.or do they come from a tree. i have heard of them but never saw one. are they bigger than an acorn?
