Thanks Tom, that was interesting. I see it was named after the original owner of the land.

Sad to see towns die. But that one still has about 80 people.

Interesting question April. Oddly, I’m becoming so curious about Timken now. Cheryl’s travels are always interesting and I enjoy reading about and seeing pictures of the various towns. But for some reason I really want to know yet more about Timken. And more about that building with the broken awnings.

I wonder how the town got named Timken. Was that someone’s last name? Or two brothers, Tim and Ken? Or a Native American word?
