Emporia Self-Portraits
April 19th, 2008 at 1:19 pm
Today during the Artists Walk, Dave is letting folks take their own photographs. He’s inside the Kress Building in front of Amanda’s Bakery & Cafe.
This is way cool. Not all of the black-and-white photos are posted yet, but check out the slide show: Self-Portraits.

Four children pose while their mother watches.

A woman takes a self-portrait.

Melissa Windsor, Director of the Emporia Arts Council, checks the monitor and prepares for a series of self-portraits.

The person posing was given a mouse to click when they wanted the camera to take the photo. They looked in the monitor to see themselves and clicked at will.

I thought it was a snappy idea, Dave.
This is fantastic. I love it. I wanted to make it today, but our company didn’t leave until 4. Ah well, next year.
Great Idea Dave Love the B/W. I have always felt B/W tells much better story than color. You take a nice pic Cheryl
Those little kids were so beautiful. I asked the oldest girl if her daddy had a shot gun to scare off the boys and she looked at me like I was crazy. Not to far from wrong kid! The little ones had so much life and the they all had such good manners.
Great pictures———saw lots of people I know——–
Good to see Kim & Bones two of my very good friends!
We were in Okla all day——- missed the fun in Emporia!
That’s an awesome idea. It’s not easy to take self photographs without a good set up or the obvious arm holding the camera in the shot.
GREAT JOB DAVE!
