Washed the last most recent batch of salt off the car this afternoon, but the minute I drove out of the car wash, the wild winds sprayed my wet car with dust. Sigh.
Current wind speed: 37.
Check Kansas wind speed anytime – here.
Anyway, welcome to MARCH! I’m dancing the Spring Dance. It’s warm out there – 67-degrees and sunny. And windy. But warm. Halle-damn-lujia!
And I joined Dave and Cheryl at Amanda’s for a brunch-type outing, then the three of us went over the the Emporia Arts Council to see Dave’s great photographs on exhibit. I went to Wally World to see if pansies were in yet for the White site and to have replacement nose pads replaced on my glasses, this is the second time since late October (I should have gone to Brady’s.). I found some Monster Bubble blowing kits which I purchased for Nina’s Grand daughters. I saw Janet from afar but too far to talk. How is the doghouse, Janet? Does Larry fit?
I went to Nina’s but she was at the ESU BB game so I took the bubble thingys to the girls and visited with Gaylord for a while. I went to Camp Alexander to visit the future site of the Nellie Essex Vine House Storytelling Pavilion.
It was nice to get out into the country.
Sounds like you had a great day Roger.
Did you see the doghouse on the back of the truck? Tied with clothes line rope? I was scared driving the whole way home. But we made it.
It’s in the back yard now. I feel like I might be coming down with something, but I was so happy about the doghouse so helped set that up with round pavers around it.
I couldn’t quite squeeze Larry into it, so I guess I’ll let him stay inside most of the time.
We got the doghouse at Mark II.
Did I mention we went to the dog pound too? Maybe we have a screw loose or something. We barely got out of there without getting a dog. I mean, I’m not kidding. I don’t think we’ll go back soon, because we came mighty close, and we really don’t need another dog. I just get to feeling sorry for them.
Didn’t see the DH. I was inside the vision center being waited on and you were pushing a cart. I just caught a glimpse then your were out a sight.
I didn’t have my glasses on so maybe it wasn’t you, come to think of it.
Ditto your last sentence there Cheryl! I’ve been doing the same dance all day too. Got the car cleaned out, first time since like last September. It was baaaad! Now I need to go to the carwash and then to Wallyworld for some groceries. Picked up sticks and trash in the yard and cleaned up the front porch some too. I got jonquils and hyacinths and the Star of Bethlehems are busting thru too. I was tempted to grab a rake and start cleaning out flower beds but it’s still too soon for that. Tomorrow I think I’ll look up a biker friend of mine a see if he will take me for a ride.
March came in like a lamb in Indiananpolis. Makes me concerned about the end of the month.
I thought this morning that it was coming in “like a lamb,” but coming home from a meeting in Topeka, driving on the pike, it was more like a LION! (It is not easy to eat ice cream and keep your Jeep on the road.)
The mud pit which was the Phi Delt new house property dried nicely today thanks to 35 MPH winds until about 4 PM when the wind laid off.
