Queen for the Day

My friend Theda Wolford of Bill’s Hardware & Electric (building in background) was the queen of the day in yesterday’s “Royal Harvest” parade. As parade marshal, she rode in this spiffy Crossfire.

hartford-thedasfamily.jpgTheda’s family surprised her with a family float. She had no idea they were going to do this.

We caught up with Theda a little later, back at work in her store, selling toys to a man with his grandsons in tow. Here she’s ringing up a purchase for another customer.

Theda is always grateful that I send customers her way. She has gotten quite a few calls and visits because she handles the Atom Pop Poppers that are made in Bushton. (Although she’s had a little trouble getting her latest order of poppers from the manufacturer.)

Getting a welcome hug from Theda was worth the drive to Hartford. But seeing the parade and festivities was fun too.
