		<description>Now, Simon, imagine there are no roads and you are in a covered wagon crossing this landscape at about 20 miles a day when things go right. Kansas is about 410 miles across east to west. With some circuitous routing, bad weather, breakdowns and slow days, I would estimate that it would take about 30 days to cross our state back then in a wagon train. There was plenty of time for these pioneers, some of which were British subjects, to drink-in the scenery.</description>
