Larry Matson

More from Emporia’s Artists Walk held on April 21.

In the vestibule of Madelynn’s, Larry Matson was throwing clay. (Well, in a nice way.)

I love to watch clay throwers. It is mesmerizing. Did you ever seen that guy who used to do the craft shows in Emporia? He was missing his hands and was blind, and yet he made beautiful pots. Did you ever see him work? Fascinating.

Larry Matson, bless his BIG heart, helped at our Vacation Bible School (with the Presbyterians) doing pottery, and even helping the children make their own pots (?) AND dressed up in Biblical clothes while doing it! It was GREAT!
