Delighted for you! I told you she'd be back.

However, if you're contacted by a certain "Mr Mew-kus" from the south side of town, it might be worth denying any knowledge of Tiger's whereabouts. Mr Mew-kus has broken many a cat's delicate heart and it looks as if he's up to his old tricks again.

Thank you, one and all, for your support through our cat crisis. Your comments here and in e-mails have been greatly appreciated. It means a lot that y'all were rooting for Tiger to come home. It was nice to have a happy ending to report.

P.S. Tiger says "Mrow."

Susie - Leon and Otis? Seems like either you've mentioned those names or my brother told me. Otis was my grandpa's name and also the name of Tutak's mutt-dog. (Otie)

The Return of the Prodigal

And on the 16th day of existing in a non-parallel world known to few, unknown to most, and after non-ending battles with the evil twin, who is still hard in the grasp of the Dark Side, Tiger was finally triumphant over her nemesis and survived the near-disastrous situation, which had looked so enticing but had turned into something much much less.

And now, the Prodigal has returned.

Little by little the details of her ordeal, bits and pieces of her adventure, will, no doubt, be forthcoming, but maybe not in ways or language humans will be able to understand. And while that may be frustrating for the humans, the joy of having her back will more than compensate for the lack of knowing what transpired during her absence. In fact, it may well be better not to know too much if anything at all.

Suffice to say Tiger is back where she belongs, with people who love her and want nothing but the best for her.

The End (or maybe not).

I've been following daily and am thrilled that Tiger finally came home. It's amazing how attached we get to those independent little devils. We have Otis and Leon at our house and they disappear for sever days at a time, but never 17 days at once. What an adventure. Cats aggravate us, irritate us, and worry us silly, but we still love em. WELCOME HOME TIGER.

She's happy as can be, and already celebrating her favorite things. She's had drinks of fresh water from the bathtub, and has gone into the basement to howl -- which most cats seem to enjoy doing. This morning I cooked up some turkey bacon and she could hardly contain herself. She LOVES turkey bacon. I usually break off some small pieces and toss them out so she can chase them. Except for being really skinny, and the raspy voice, she seems fine.
