Bushong p.4

The Missouri Pacific railroad track is long gone. At one time there was a railroad depot, a maintenance building and an elevator along these tracks. All that remains of the buildings are large concrete slabs. The railroad bed is now part of the Flint Hills Nature Trail.
The sides of the trackbed are thick with wildflowers and native grasses. As I explored Monarch butterflies were moving through the area.
