Football players and cheerleaders, representing Eastern Kansas and Western Kansas, rode on flatbed trailers.

More than 200 high school kids played in the Kansas Masonic All-State High School Marching Band.

Shriners from around the state participated. Salina, Wichita, Pittsburg, Topeka, and Sumner and Butler Counties were among the groups represented. Convertibles carried Masonic leaders: Oriental Guide, High Priest and Prophet, Assistant Rabban, Ceremonial Master.

Some of the motorized groups popped wheelies or rode on two of their three wheels. At the intersections, they cut loose, driving in circles or figure-eights, squealing tires on the tight turns.

And what's a parade without a camel?
