Shrine parade

Football players and cheerleaders, representing Eastern Kansas and Western Kansas, rode on flatbed trailers. More than 200 high school kids played in the Kansas Masonic All-State High School Marching Band. |

Shriners from around the state participated. Salina, Wichita, Pittsburg, Topeka, and Sumner and Butler Counties were among the groups represented. Convertibles carried Masonic leaders: Oriental Guide, High Priest and Prophet, Assistant Rabban, Ceremonial Master. |

in their fire truck. |

Synchronized driving Some of the motorized groups popped wheelies or rode on two of their three wheels. At the intersections, they cut loose, driving in circles or figure-eights, squealing tires on the tight turns. |
